Domestic and global cladding and roofing construction

Construction Divsion History

The first company established in the UK was M. Corlett roofing contractors that started property repairing in 1975. From domestic property repairs the company undertook commercial and industrial contracts, one of these contracts was for Wilson’s Brewery, who later became Lanchester Taverns North and Lanchester Taverns South, in the second year of maintaining the Public Houses for Wilson’s Brewery the company made 3,064 visits to carry out repairs, maintenance and re-roofing all over Lancashire. M. Corlett and Sons Ltd was incorporated in 1977, the company expanded into undertaking multi million pound roofing and cladding contracts all over the country. By 1980 the company had turned over many millions, and was undertaking some of the country’s major roofing and cladding contracts, also constructing and re-building industrial units in England, Wales and the Isle of Man.

Because of the demand for producing the total package from design, construction and ‘hand over’ of industrial units, Corlett Industrial Buildings Ltd was established in 1980 and undertook some of the largest and prestigious building and cladding contracts of the time, some of the larger contracts undertaken by M. Corlett and Sons Ltd and Corlett Industrial Buildings between the years 1978 - 1985 are as follows:
